For the past 4 -6 weeks, mom has been having a lot of problems with her legs and her disease has been in a flare up. This has caused quite a bit of inactivity on her part as she has been in almost constant pain. She has not had a lot of strength and we have been trying to help her as much as possible in this difficult time.
On Wednesday Night, Oct 21 Mom fell and broke her Femur just above the Knee. This was a very bad break needed surgery to repair. Dr. Richter, (her doctor that fixed her ankle 2 years ag) did the surgery and he said that everything went very well. However, She has to go 10 Weeks with no weight bearing on that leg. The concern is that we will loose what she has in strength and will never get it back. We are trying to be positive and are hoping she will be able to walk again.
On Sunday, we moved her from the Hospital to the Crestwood Care Center in Ogden. This is the place that worked the miracles last time and we are hopeful for a repeat performance.
She is trying to stay positive but I think this will be a true test of her wills. She has a very, very long road ahead. She has her Cell phone with her if you wanted to call and talk to her. Also, she can receive mail or letters of encouragement at the facility.
Please keep her in your prayers as we need her to walk again.
