Playing in the Dirt

If you know Drew, you know that he loves to play in the Dirt. He is always the first one each season out cleaning up the sandbox and getting his cars and toys out so he can build forts, hills, holes, and all manner of mounds. Since he was a very little boy, he has loved tractors and one of the highlights of his early years, was when his Uncle Paul, let him drive his Trac Hoe. He even moved some rock and dirt. It was a big deal.
Well, Uncle Paul called to let me know that he had a new "Toy" that he was using at the Utah State Agriculture farm in Kaysville. (the Ponds)

His boss had made a deal with Utah State to store some top soil on their land for some trade work. Paul had rented a BullDozer and wanted me to bring down the boys to give them a ride.
It is so funny how different they are. Drew was given a quick lesson on how it works and then he was all business. He was actually driving and moving the blade and such and when his dad would try to get him to smile and look his way, he was all business.

Nick was about a good time and was quickly bored. Maybe if they put some sort of a ball on each control he would have been more interested.

This is going to be a big job and Uncle Paul will be here for a couple of weeks. Maybe we will get another shot and pushing some dirt. Thanks Paul for the ride.
